I ONLY SEE ONE ROAD
Not because there aren’t other options, but because the road, I’m on is the one I chose — and the one I’ve stayed on, even when it got hard.
Life doesn’t give you a clear map. You don’t get to see far ahead. You deal with what’s right in front of you. You fix what’s broken. You take the next step. And sometimes, that’s enough.
I’m not an expert. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. What I do have is lived experience — real setbacks, real lessons, and real scars to prove it. I’ve been slowed down, sidelined, tested, and challenged. And I’m still here.
This work exists for people who are tired of fluff, tired of excuses, and tired of being told to “just think positive.” Sometimes what matters most isn’t motivation — it’s being understood.
Progress doesn’t have to be big. It just has to be honest. One step. One day at a time.

Meet Me
Over the past four years, my life has been a crash course in resilience. Medical setbacks—including hernia surgery, a full-thickness meniscus tear, arthritis, and a pinched nerve—forced me to slow down in ways I never expected. In less than two months, I lost over 45 pounds, a visible sign of how exhausted I had become. Physically I seemed “fine,” but mentally and emotionally I had hit a breaking point. That wake-up call pushed me to focus on who I wanted to become. When your mindset changes, your body follows. Intentions don’t change lives—actions do.
The journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced grief, loss, and hard truths about relationships and priorities, including losing my father, uncle, grandmother, and the long-term impact of losing my brother to suicide. These experiences taught me how fragile connection is—and how much people need to feel seen and valued.
Through it all, I pushed forward, completing my studies at Heritage College as an Addiction and Community Support Worker. From working in an warehouse, landscaping to volunteering, and simply being someone who understands struggle, I’ve learned that help doesn’t always come from professionals—it often comes from people who care. That belief inspired me to create Be better then yesterday. My mission is to support seniors, newcomers, and those experiencing loneliness by encouraging movement, connection, and purpose. Progress over perfection. One step, one day, one person at a time.
